Final Post!!!!!

This is the last blog post that I will do so this post is about the experience that I have had in this English 12 Class. I had a great time in this class had a lot of fun doing everything and had some hard times in this class but it was worth it. This was no regular English class yea we still had to read but we did not touch a pencil, open a text book unless it was online, and never wrote on a single piece of paper.

The Making of the game was our senior project and yes it was hard to learn how to work everything on flash but we got used to it by each day. Another difficult thing we had to do in this class is to get up and present our game to the class and a few guest but that wasn't to difficult of our group to do because our group was confident. If I had to chose this class or a regular English I would definitely take this class again cause it is a whole lot better than any English class that I've ever had.

I played PJ's game and Jessica's game and I have to say I was impressed on what they have come up with. They both had nice playing styles on was about catching trash and the other was that you can beat up one guy and that was pretty clever. What they still need to work on is that on Jessica's game you can't quit the quit button does not work and I don't know if they've fix it or not but besides that there game was pretty fun. Both games were pretty interesting and fun to play so two thumbs up to them.

We had to work together and read three poems and discuss it over Gmail and it was a good learning experience to talk to other people and to read the different poems that was really difficult to understand.

Good OL' West Virginia

Our community was struck in the heart by a horrible disaster, a mine exploded and some of us lost what was close to us but all of us felt there pain. To some people West Virginia is just a hillbilly,inbreed state but its not its a good nice state that has feelings just like any other state. But I think of West Virginia is a state that looks out for each other and comes together in the of need and when this disaster happened it wasn't just the people who has lost somebody it was mostly the whole state came together just like when all that people came together for the candle light vigil. So if I had to choose between any other state to live in I would choose to live in Good Ol' West Virginia.

Today PJ foster helped us create a button that will help us with our flash game. Okay I have to say that it help me understand flash and how the animations work to finally continue to work on our game.

The experience that I had making the button was fun and I was very excited to see that it worked. Making the button was very easy to learn and it was easy to get it to work now all I have to do is to make every page have a button so we can continue to finish our game on flash.

Drawing in flash was very easy to do, it did take some time though to learn the tools on flash, and to make the little house. It was a fun and a good learning experience for me to really know how to finally draw in flash.

Added a link to Globaloria spotlight and I think its cool to see what everybody has done like coming up with good ideas for their game, and how they explained about what is going to happen in their game, and what their game is about.

Canterbury Tales

Okay the story I have read was the Canterbury Tales and it was interesting and I liked how the narrator explained the characters in the story with descriptive detail. You could tell who was bad, who was good, who was fake, and who was a swindler. And what theses people was trying to do was reach the Canterbury cathedral.

The most interesting person or character was the knight because he was noble and honest and does was right. The most evil person I thought was the Monk he did not go by the law of the monks and hunted and wore there fur to keep him warm.The cleric was also interesting he didn't speak much but when he did his words was wise.

The whole deal to the pilgrims was to see who could tell the most interesting story before they reached the cathedral. The professions or trades that exist today are The group monks, merchants, the gold diggers the ones who marry you until you die and then takes your money, the nuns, cooks, and not the knight but the characteristics of the knight still exists.This was a very good story confussing at time but you would soon learn how the story goes.

Alright, I basically know about or heard almost every hero there is out there from toady's super hero to the earliest heros. From Hercules to Conan and to Captain America to Colossus I know my heroes, well some of them. Well anyways the heroes from Anglo-Saxons are very similar because some of them has the same power like super strength, they also share similar values like doing whats right except maybe Conan he done what was right for him like revenge on someone that done something to him. And the heroes like to defeat evil anyway they can even if they have to destroy them.

Mini Game Project

The Mini Game project was fun and interesting. I had to help people when I was there, but I wasn't there on the first day of the project so I didn't do it. It was confusing and difficult to understand how to get it to work. It was a good learning experience though if I was there it would have been even more fun.

Colossus is what I would call one of the best super heroes of all time. One of the reasons that he is one of the best is because he can make his whole body turn into some kind of metallic form which makes him mostly invincible to all kinds of stuff such as bullets. He is one of the strongest X-Men, he can destroy and crush objects very easily.

He doesn't have a short temper, but if he would get mad he will destroy anything that mad him mad. He is honest, kind of shy but an awesome super hero none the less. He can withstand incredible heat and cold temperatures. He received his training of hand to hand from wolverine and cyclops. He is still with the X-Men defending the mansion and anything that comes in harm to the X-Men.

Beowulf: A True Hero!!!!

Some of the ways that makes Beowulf a hero is that he fights all kinds of monsters, and he saves kingdoms from ultimate destruction from monsters and demons. Beowulf also does not fear anything he is just a killing machine. But the oly flaw on Beowulf is that he can't keep his stories right.

I'm not sure Beowulf would make a good educational game, but you could make an educational game if the game did not have that much bloodshed and not just about killing. I mostly play games with a lot of killing. It should have the story line and all the monsters he faced including Grendel. So i think now that he would make a good game if you know a lot about Beowulf.

Alright I have played all the games on the wiki and I got to say that they weren't that good.They were very simple and easy to play. Some of the games that the globaloria students made were all right but still not that good to play.
Some of the games had alright graphics,but not enough to get the attention of anyone, I'm not trying to put anyone down, but put some more time in your work. The sound was alright they actually went with the games that they had created.
Overall the games were descent and easy to play had a few problems,but they were alright games that were made on the computer.

Having this for a class and being at the end of the day rocks. So if I do something stupid just laugh out loud I really don't care as much as you think.
